Devotional Thoughts
Are you on the right road? by Rev. Ken Walker
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him” -John 14:6“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” - John 1:12
Dear friends; Have you ever asked yourself “Am I on the right road?”
I have. I am sure we have all had a time when we could not find a new location or address. Isn’t it frustrating?
Men are known for not asking for directions but not me! I really appreciate directions to a new location or address. When we follow clear directions we save time and a lot of frustration! Of course in following directions as in living life we always have a choice. We can refuse to trust the directions we are given and attempt to guess our way to the direction.
Almost always when we choose this course of action we discover we are lost and we have to call for help!
The saying “All roads lead to Rome” may be true, but not all roads lead to the one true God. God’s directions to having a relationship with Him are clear and easy to understand when we act on them.
If we act on God’s directions we embrace Him by receiving His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
